Big Chop

I did my big chop! omg! So two days ago I did my big chop after a 5 month transition. I wasnt really nervous until i took the pair of scissors but then right after I cut it I loved it! my boyfriend helped me with the back and I was kind of nervous of what my family would say but so far everyone loves it. looking at my hair its kind of crazy that I ever even relaxed it before. my relaxer story isnt like most where their mothers ran to get them a relaxer at a young age. Mine is the exact opposite, my mom always loved my hair but throughout elementary and middle school I was so caught up with wanting to fit in, it seemed like everyone had straight relaxed hair so i begged my mom to let me get a relaxer and she would tell me no and to wait until i was 18 to decide. But after bugging and bugging she finally got fed up and just let me get one. So my first relaxer was in 7th grade. Ill never forget the first time after I washed my relaxed hair and it was just so limp I remember it always used to curl up when I washed it. Seeing just be so straight and limp was a reality check but at that time it was exactly what I wanted. Now about 10 years later I have chopped off all my relaxed hair and I love my old curls, I have such a long journey ahead of me.
